The registration lookup

Vehicle details are retrieved from the RDW's open vehicle register. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in that register. The register holds Dutch registrations only; for vehicles from other countries you enter the details yourself.

We don't show power figures on this website. What is achievable varies by version, software level and technical condition, and we assess that per vehicle — we deliberately don't estimate.

Modifications to your vehicle

A modification to a vehicle can affect insurance, warranty, a lease contract and the requirements the vehicle must meet to be used on the road. The owner is and remains responsible for using the vehicle on public roads and for complying with the applicable rules, including those on roadworthiness testing and emissions. We advise reporting a modification in advance to your insurer and, where applicable, to the leasing company or owner.

What we don't do

We don't carry out modifications that would leave a vehicle no longer meeting the requirements for use on public roads. If you ask for something outside that, we'll say so.
